The 1992 Consensus is the verbal agreement on the one-China principle reached by the Beijing-based Association for Relations Across the Taiwan Straits (ARATS) and the Taipei-based Straits Exchange Foundation (SEF) in their talks on cross-Straits affairs in November 1992.
