The Jin Dynasty (265–420) was founded in 265 by Sima Yan after he superseded the last emperor of the Wei Kingdom (220–265). It was an empire dominated by the Han people. Its capital was Luoyang, but was later moved to Chang'an (today's Xi'an, Shaanxi Province).
